LATTICE-TOP APPLE PIE

The Ingredients for Dough:

  • 2 1⁄2 drinking cups flour
  • 150 g margarine (at room temperature)
  • 1⁄2 drinking cup sugar
  • A little more than 1⁄2 pack of baking powder
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3 medium apples
  • 1⁄2 drinking cup sugar
  • 1⁄2 drinking cup coarsely grounded hazelnut
  • 1 dessert spoon ground cinnamon

Preparation: 1. Pell and grate three apples. In a pan, cook the apple and 1⁄2 drinking cup sugar. 2. When it is well-cooked, add 1⁄2 drinking cup coarsely grounded hazelnut and 1 dessert spoon ground cinnamon and mix together. Let it cool.

3. In a large bowl, put the flour, make a pit in the middle, then add 150 g margarine, 1⁄2 drinking cup sugar, a little more than 1⁄2 pack of baking powder and 2 egg yolks. Mix together and knead well. 4. Divide the dough into two. Roll out one dough piece with the rolling pin and smear margarine.Transfer to a round glass pie dish with a diamater of 25-35 cm. Slightly elevate the sides of the dough ( so that the apple filling that you will put later on would not touch the glass pie dish. Otherwise it would be hard to take it off the dish.) 5. Spread the apple filling over the dough. Roll out the remaining dough pretty thin (0.3 mm) with the rolling pin. Cut into 1⁄2- cm-wide stripes. Place these stripes on the dough so that they would make a lattice shape.

6. Bake your pie in a preheated at 180 C until the lattice-top gets pinkish.


APPLE COOKIES

The Ingredients for Filling 4 apples 5 tablespoons sugar 1 dessertspoon ground cinnamon 1 tea glass walnut

The Ingredients for the Dough of Apple Cookies 125 g butter (at room temperature) 1 tea glass vegetable oil 1 tea glass yogurt 1 egg 1 1⁄2 tea glass sugar 1 drinking cup starch 3-3 1⁄2 drinking cups flour (the amount may change according to the brand of flour)

1⁄2 pack of baking powder Vanilla

Preparation of Filling First of all, peel and grate the apples. Then put them in to a pan, if they are not sweet you may add some sugar. After adding sugar, take it on oven and cook until they unleash their juice and then boil down. Add walnut and cinnamon, mix together and in order to let it cool and reach the rşght consistency, transfer to another bowl.

Preparation of Apple Cookies

With ingredients of dough, make a soft dough. Although the amounts of the ingredients are given, add the flour slowly. Since the dough for apple cookie is ready now, we can start making apple cookies. Decide the shape of cookies, you can make one of two ways as striped or round or you can make both of them and enrich the menu. a) To make the striped apple cookie model; Take a piece from the dough in the size of small tangerine, roll out in 0.5 cm thickness. Make longitudinal strias in the two third of the dough. Put the filling in the unstriated area and then wrap them. Give it a moon shape by gently bending it from the tips. b) To make the round apple cookie model; Roll out the dough in 0.5 cm thickness. Cut round pieces with drinking cup. Put the apple filling in the middle of the round piece. Make the shape of a plus in the middle of the other piece and cover it on the first piece. Lightly press the edges with the fork. Arrange them in an ungreased baking tray.

Cooking Apple Cookies Cook in an preheated oven at 170 C until the top gets mildly pinkish. If your oven cooks very quickly, turn it down to 150 C after they start to get pinkish. Sprinkle a lot of powdered sugar over the cookies that you have taken off the oven. Now your apple cookie is ready. You can feel this heavenly taste in your mouth. Bon appetite.


The Ingredients for Toffee-Apple Recipe

* 4 drinking cups sugar

* 2 drinking cups water

* 2 dessertspoons lemon juice

* ½ teaspoon red food dye

* 4-5 apples

Preparation of Toffee-Apple

Wash the apples thoroughly. In a pan, boil water and sugar for 10 minutes. Add food dye and lemon juice and mix well. To understand the consistency of the syrup that you made for toffee-apple, take a bit from the syrup with the tip of a spoon and drip on the kitchen counter. If the dripped sugar can be removed from the counter as a whole, then it means that we have reached the right consistency. Place the apples on the sticks.
